What I want to Say here is, unless we have institutions which are interested and dedicated to supporting local initiatives, we will be disadvantaged in this age of globalisation and the predominance of the western media. We have to shrug off the post colonial mindset of looking west.

As a recipient of the Golden Award of Excellence in 2008 held in Singapore, I had queried suneet Paul Whether he needed a coordinator for the event but Was assured that this Was by due process after research and discreet enquiries.

Within the space of a year we have Seen the Collapse of the banking and financial institutions in the west which threatened the World's economy. Having
been lectured by the West on the need for governance during the Asian contagious in 1997, the table is now turned. India and China besides Russia and Brazil are now seen as joining the ranks of the World leaders in terms of economic development. There are no more doubts about the rise of Asia in the new millennium, and it is incumbent on all of us to ride this wave critically.
