REGAL WORKSPAC (Page 1)

The first time you step into the confines of this office, you are taken aback...the sheer gran deur and opulence that emerges from every corner of this 18,000 square feet office, designed by Vistasp Architects, is nothing short of mesmeric. Rich colours greet you at the reception, and slowly the colour tones grow sober as you move further inside, but this subdued effect is broken by the excitement created through bright red elements infused where ever possible, without tilting the balance in design, theme or space.

The office is for a leading property developer with patronage from the Middle East, who demanded an office that reflected the best of finishes and materials without compromising on functionality or a suitable office environment. Vistasp Architects believe that a project will attain success only when the client's requirements and desires are forecast and 'out of the box innovative solutions provided. The approach to this project echoes their belief, successfully translating the client's desires to reality.

The functions of the office are divided among the three floors, each floor with its own reception, and each reception competing with each other in terms of opulence and grandeur. The reception on the director's floor is steeped in shades of yellow. As you step out of the lift, the first thing to catch your eye is the back lit onyx wall which becomes the backdrop for a glass reception desk. The floor area around the reception desk is a dark timber deck which defines the limits of the reception visually. To allow the onyx wall to be the focus, the other elements are kept subdued in terms of colour. The marble floor reflects the bright lights on the timber wall panel and ceiling and also paints the floor plate in varied tones of yellow. Next to the reception is the seating composed of white sofas set against the onyx backdrop, allowing the visitor to take in the richness flaunted in the volume.
