NOT MERELY ON PAPE (Page 3)
Descending from the drawing room is a flight of mahogany stairs upon which are successfully printed branches shedding leaves (this connects with the drawing room where nature governs) leading to the girls' room set in the basement of the house, designed by Meira Mayani and Yael Tzindar. A metal industrial door upon which two mail boxes are suspended hints to the interior design. A low bench inspired by street benches are situated close to the low table appearing like floating, upon which are two monitors connected to a computer located in the cupboard under the desk; a small locker is suspended over the table painted bright pink with an upward opening, on two sides of the room are two adjustable single beds measuring a bed and a half in breadth, over each bed is a separate air-conditioning unit enabling the division of the room into two when the time comes. The room contains an attached wall cupboard and opposite it is a bathroom containing a cast concrete bath which is part of the room's floor is made of smoothed cast concrete as well. Three large windows face the English yard from which a creeper plant is reflected on the dry vine branches, on the middle window there is digital print integrating with the scenery penetrating inwards.
Facing the main door of the house is a staircase leading to the upper floor, the attic floor, designed by Nili Sabodka. There the man's kingdom is situated, where he can work, host colleagues or enjoy his family's company playing advanced computer games. A modest bar, a small cupboard lining the entire wall behind the desk and a broad padding concealing the entire air-conditioner's piping, was built by the artistic hands of a private carpenter who was familiar with matching the new to the antique. The classical furniture was integrated into a space which in its entirety was designed in a masculine retro \ antique style. The bathroom attached to this room continues the colourfulness and the style dominating the room.
For lack of space I cannot describe in words all that one finds in the house, the accompanying pictures speak for themselves, an abundance of materials, original ideas and a joy of creation which has joined all the partners to an experience leading to a result yielding complements and the desire to continue on to the next project.
The End.
