‘Open the door’, ‘Close the door’, ’bolt it fast’, all these Callouts sound familiar, don't they? Doors are Something thot we all have in our lives; we open if for guests, bolt if for Security, decorate it for fun and sometimes slam it in anger. We have doors all over the house but we hardly pay attention to them. Read on to know more.

TYPES OF DOORS:

Every kind of door has a specific name, depending on its purpose. The most commonly available door is the Single door, which is higher than it is wide, opens and closes forwards and backwards. But there are many variations on this basic design, and many more different types.

Single ledf door:

These doors suit all architectural styles and are ideal for homes as internal doors. one can choose either in swing or out swing option.

Double leaf door:

These doors open from the Centre and can either swing in or out. These are suitable for doors opening onto a patio or a garden.

One-track sliding door:
A sliding door is the best option for saving space. Here the doors slide on a track or a frame from one end to another. These doors are also known as bypass doors. These doors have one segment that moves and another that's fixed. The moving segment slides past the other when opened. You don't observe any gaps as they can overlap slightly. Usually this type of interior door is used as a substitute for swinging doors in very small spaces like bathrooms. They can also be used to divide rooms.

Multiple-frock sliding door:

These doors smoothly and effortlessly open and give a wider access to the space that you access. In this type, the two segments pass over each other from either side. It opens widely on both sides and gives easy access to contents if affixed in a wardrobe.

Pocket door:

It is another type of interior door and also a slider. It is perfect for places where there is no space for a door to swing. A pocket door slides into the packet in the wall. Actually it is a conventional door accumulated on rollers that slide along a sliding track. Pocket doors are suitable for those who are living in smaller houses as it is space saving. They are also suitable for bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms.
